Privacy Policy – Learn Smarter with Secure Data Practices

Effective Date: December 2025

Your privacy matters to us. We take data protection seriously and follow industry best practices. This policy applies to all uses of Quiz4Learn (our website and mobile app) and explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it. Importantly, we do not sell your personal data or use it for purposes beyond what is described here. By using Quiz4Learn, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and our data practices.

Quiz4Learn is owned and operated by GNOOD TRADE AND BUSINEES, a company registered in Oman.
For privacy purposes, GNOOD TRADE AND BUSINEES acts as the Data Controller.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect basic personal info such as your name and email address. If you use Google Sign-In to register or log in, we receive your Google profile information (e.g. name, email, profile photo) but never your Google password. This helps create and personalize your account.

  • Learning Activity: We record data about your learning on Quiz4Learn – for example, which quizzes or flashcards you take, your scores, progress statistics, and study history. This information helps track your improvement and tailor the learning experience to you.

  • Device and Usage Data: We gather technical data when you use our service, including your IP address (which can indicate your general location), browser or app version, device type and operating system, and diagnostic data like crash reports. This information helps us troubleshoot issues and optimize our platform’s performance.

  • Cookies and Identifiers: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as local storage or mobile ad identifiers) to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you use our platform. Some cookies come from third parties (like analytics or ad networks) to help with usage statistics or advertising. (See Cookies and Tracking below for more details.)

  • Payment Information: If you make a purchase or subscribe to a premium plan, payments are processed by Paddle.com, our authorized third-party payment processor and Merchant of Record. We may receive and store limited payment metadata such as transaction IDs, payment status, and the plan or product purchased, but we do not store full payment card details or other sensitive financial information on our servers.

All sensitive payment information (such as credit card numbers) is handled securely by Paddle (or the applicable app store platform), not by Quiz4Learn. Paddle may collect personal data such as your name, email address, billing address, IP address, and payment details solely for the purpose of processing your transaction, in accordance with its own Privacy Policy.

Quiz4Learn does not control Paddle’s payment data processing and does not have access to your full payment details. Any refunds approved by Quiz4Learn are subject to final review, approval, and processing by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record.

2. How We Use the Information

We use the collected information to operate, provide, and improve the Quiz4Learn service in various ways:

  • Personalized Learning: Deliver a tailored learning experience, such as customizing quizzes, flashcards, and review schedules based on your progress and performance.

  • Account Management & Support: Facilitate login and authentication (including via Google Sign-In), maintain your account and learning history, and provide customer support or respond to your inquiries.

  • Platform Improvement: Analyze usage and performance data (often in aggregate form) to fix bugs, enhance features, and improve our content and user experience. For example, crash reports and analytics help us identify problems and understand what features are most useful.

  • Payments and Subscriptions: Verify purchases and manage access to paid features. Payment processing itself is handled by Paddle as an independent third-party processor and Merchant of Record.

  • Advertising (Ad-Supported Service): If you use our free service or mobile app, we display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob. We use certain data (like device identifiers or non-personal usage info) to show ads and measure their performance. AdMob may use cookies or mobile identifiers to serve targeted ads and track ad effectiveness, in line with Google’s policies.

  • Legal Compliance & Safety: Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes, and to enforce our Terms of Service or protect the rights, safety, and property of Quiz4Learn, our users, or others. For example, we may use or disclose data to meet lawful requests or to prevent fraud or security issues.

  • No Selling of Data: We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We only use your data for the purposes outlined above and, as described below, share it only with trusted service providers necessary to run our platform (or if we are legally required to do so).

3. Third-Party Services

We work with a few trusted partners to operate essential features of Quiz4Learn. These third-party services have access to certain data only as needed for their function, and each has its own privacy policy (linked below):

  • Google Sign-In – for user authentication (login via your Google account). Google Privacy Policy

  • Google Analytics – for usage tracking and analytics (helps us understand how users engage with our site/app). Google Privacy Policy

  • Firebase (Google Firebase services) – for app analytics, performance monitoring, and crash reporting. Firebase Privacy

  • Google AdMob – for displaying ads in our app (AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to personalize ads). AdMob Policy

  • Paddle – for payment processing and billing as an independent third-party processor and Merchant of Record. Paddle Privacy Policy

Each of these providers only receives the information necessary for their role (for example, analytics data for Google Analytics, crash diagnostics for Firebase, or transaction-related data for Paddle).

No Other Sharing: Outside of the services listed above, we do not share your personal data with any other third parties unless you have given explicit consent or we are legally compelled to do so. In other words, we do not disclose or sell your information to unaffiliated parties for their own marketing or purposes. Additionally, any information you provide within Quiz4Learn (such as your learning progress or any content you create) is private to you and not visible to other users or the public unless you choose to share it yourself. For example, if in the future you opt to make a profile public or share an achievement on social media, that is under your control – we will never publicly expose your data without your consent.

4. Cookies and Tracking

Quiz4Learn uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience:

  • Essential Cookies: Some cookies are necessary for the website/app to function – for example, keeping you logged in, or remembering your language and other preferences so you don’t have to set them each time.

  • Analytics Cookies: We use cookies (and similar tools) to collect usage information. This helps us see overall trends like which quizzes are popular or how users navigate the site, so we can improve design and content. These analytics cookies may come from third parties like Google Analytics. (We generally review this data in aggregate form that does not directly identify individuals.)

  • Advertising Cookies/Identifiers: If you are using our ad-supported services, advertising partners like AdMob may use cookies or mobile ad IDs to deliver and tailor ads. For instance, an ad network might use a cookie to ensure you don’t see the same ad repeatedly or to show ads relevant to your general location or interests.

You have control over cookies and tracking:

  • Browser Controls: You can manage or disable cookies through your web browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Please note that if you disable cookies entirely, some features of Quiz4Learn might not work properly (for example, the site may not remember your progress or language preference).

  • Device Settings: On mobile devices, you can usually reset or limit the use of advertising identifiers in your device’s privacy settings if you do not want personalized ads.

  • Google Analytics Opt-Out: If you wish to opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically, Google provides an opt-out browser add-on you can install. This tool, available from Google, prevents analytics JavaScript from sharing information about your visits. (Keep in mind this opt-out is browser-specific.)

  • Do-Not-Track Signals: If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, we currently do not respond differently to it. Like many online services, we treat all users the same, as there is no accepted standard for DNT signals. However, you can still use the controls above to manage tracking.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy and to comply with applicable laws (for instance, record-keeping or accounting requirements):

  • Account Data: Information tied to your account (profile info, learning history, etc.) is kept for as long as your account is active. This allows you to see your progress over time and resume learning where you left off.

  • Deletion Request: You may delete your account (and personal data) at any time. We provide an option in the app/website to request full deletion of your account, or you can contact us at our support email to request deletion. Once your request is confirmed, we will delete or anonymize your personal data so that it no longer identifies you, and you will lose access to your Quiz4Learn account and progress.

  • Post-Deletion: After you delete your account, some residual data may remain in our secure backups or logs for a short period, but it will be removed in the normal course of our data deletion cycles. We may retain certain information if necessary for legal obligations or legitimate business purposes – for example, records of transactions (without personal identifiers) for financial reporting, or data required to enforce our Terms or protect our rights. If you used Google Sign-In, deleting your Quiz4Learn account will also sever the link to your Google account and remove any Quiz4Learn-specific data stored with your Google profile.

6. Data Security

We are committed to protecting your information and use a variety of security measures to safeguard data:

  • Encryption: All communications with Quiz4Learn are transmitted over secure protocols (HTTPS/TLS). This means data exchanged between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit to prevent eavesdropping.

  • Authentication Security: If you log in with Google, we use the OAuth 2.0 secure authorization framework – we never see your Google login credentials, and Google only shares a limited token and basic profile info with us. For email logins, if we use one-time passwords (OTP) or similar methods, we avoid storing plain text passwords. Any sensitive authentication data is handled securely.

  • Secure Storage: Personal data is stored on servers that employ modern security practices and protections. We rely on reputable cloud service providers (such as Google Firebase) that maintain high standards of physical and network security. Access to databases is restricted and protected by firewalls and strict access controls.

  • Internal Practices: Our team abides by confidentiality obligations. We limit access to personal data to only those personnel and partners who need it to operate or improve the service. We also monitor for possible vulnerabilities and attacks, and regularly update our systems.

  • No Absolute Guarantee: While we strive to protect your data, no system can be 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information. However, we will promptly notify users and the appropriate authorities of any data breaches as required by law, and we continually review our security measures to mitigate new threats.

7. Children’s Privacy

Quiz4Learn is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under 13. In fact, our Terms of Service do not allow users under 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, you should use Quiz4Learn only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.

  • No Under-13 Accounts: If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our records. For example, if a child were to sign up falsifying their age, once detected, the account will be terminated and data purged.

  • Parental Rights: If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 may have provided personal information to us, please contact us. We will promptly delete the data and terminate the child’s account. Parents or guardians of users under the age of majority (e.g. under 18) can also contact us to review or request deletion of their minor’s personal data from our system.

(Quiz4Learn is generally designed for users 13 and older, focusing on teen and adult education. We encourage families to use child-appropriate learning resources for younger children.)

8. User Rights and Choices

We respect your rights over your personal data. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have various rights regarding your information:

  • Access and Correction: You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to request correction of any inaccuracies. Much of your basic info and learning data is accessible to you through your account profile and dashboards. If you need a full export or to correct details that you cannot change, you can contact us to assist.

  • Deletion: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data (the “right to be forgotten”). As noted in the Data Retention section, you can delete your account via our app/website or by contacting us, and we will remove your personal data, except for information we are required or allowed to retain by law.

  • Consent Withdrawal: If we rely on consent for certain data processing (for example, analytics cookies or email communications), you can withdraw your consent at any time. You can disable analytics tracking (see Cookies and Tracking above for opt-out options), and you may unsubscribe from any non-essential communications if we send any.

  • Opt-Out of Marketing and Ads: We do not currently send marketing emails unrelated to the service, but if we ever do, those communications will include an unsubscribe option. If you are a California resident and “sale” of data is defined under CCPA, note that we do not sell personal data. However, you have the right to direct us not to sell your info and to opt-out of targeted advertising. In practice, any advertising on Quiz4Learn is via contextual AdMob ads, and you can opt-out of personalized ads by adjusting your device settings or Google ad preferences.

  • Data Portability: In some regions, you can request a copy of the personal data you’ve provided to us in a common format (so you can transfer it to another service). We can provide an export of your quiz results, progress, and account info on request.

  • Restriction & Objection: You might have the right to restrict certain processing of your data or object to processing based on our legitimate interests. For example, you can ask us to limit use of your data if you believe it’s inaccurate or that we no longer need it.

These rights may vary based on local laws (for instance, users in the European Union, United Kingdom, Brazil, California (USA), etc., have specific protections). We will honor your rights in accordance with applicable law. To exercise any of these rights or make an inquiry about your data, please contact us (see Contact Us below). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests for security reasons. There is no charge for reasonable, legitimate requests.

9. International Data Transfers

Quiz4Learn operates a global service. By using Quiz4Learn, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in countries outside of your own. We have users and servers in multiple regions, including (potentially) the United States, Europe, and other locations.

  • Data Across Borders: The personal data you provide may be transferred to and stored on servers in a country different from yours. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. However, we will handle your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and take appropriate safeguards to ensure its security and privacy.

  • EU/EEA Users: If you are located in the European Economic Area or other regions with data transfer restrictions, we ensure that adequate safeguards are in place for cross-border data transfers. This may include using standard contractual clauses approved by the EU, or transferring data to jurisdictions deemed “adequate” by EU authorities. Our goal is to ensure an equivalent level of data protection wherever your data is processed.

  • All Countries: No matter where you are located, we apply the same standards of privacy protection described in this policy. We do not differentiate our service by user location – all Quiz4Learn users benefit from strong privacy and security measures. Keep in mind, by continuing to use Quiz4Learn, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred internationally and handled as described here.

10. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we update the policy, we will change the “Effective Date” at the top. For any significant changes, we will provide a clear notice (such as a prominent announcement on our website or an in-app notification) and/or seek your consent if required by law.

Please review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Continued use of Quiz4Learn after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy, provided that we have notified you of the changes in accordance with applicable laws.

11. Contact Us

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal data, please don’t hesitate to contact us:

  • Email: [email protected] – You can email us for any privacy-related inquiries, such as data access or deletion requests, or clarifications about our data practices. We typically respond within a reasonable timeframe.

We are here to help and take your privacy concerns seriously. Users can also refer to our FAQ or Terms of Service for additional info on how we handle data and security.

By using Quiz4Learn, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described. We are committed to safeguarding your data and enabling you to learn smarter with peace of mind about your privacy.
